St. Nell's Reunion
AAAAHHHH HA ha hahaha
If this post has been truncated on your device because I had too much to say, please click “Read entire message” at the bottom of this email, or read it on Substack.
Oh my gosh, is it so crazy of me to make two Substack posts in two days?? What can I say? May was bonkas bananas, and there’s only more to come. (Graduations, weddings, hot weather and no AC.) Recently I attended the reunion for St. Nell’s Humor Writing Residency for Women.

I felt inspired by the reunion and the comedy workshops to make something honest and specific. (Here’s a comic I made about the great thinking I had done during the residency two years ago.) I also kept introducing myself as a cartoonist who works in personal essay, though I’ve been drifting away from and around that identity for the past year. I wanted to bring it back home!
Jokes aside, I feel so grateful for this space and community, the chance to meet so many cool writers, cartoonists, comics, and human beings in general. It is extra important to laugh and laugh together these days. Thank you, Emily, for bringing us all together again in Williamsport, PA.

I absolutely loved reading this. Wish we'd had more time to talk at Nell's! <3
